About the role
The Active Directory Senior Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) environments. This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant identity and access management across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Active Directory environments in large enterprise settings.
- Design and implement secure AD architectures.
- Manage and administer domain controllers, including virtualization and physical setups.
- Use automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred) to streamline processes.
- Ensure compliance with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, and relevant regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Work in an Agile environment, using tools like Jira.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Active Directory administration in large enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, and related technologies.
- Proven ability to design and implement secure AD architectures.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
- Familiarity with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- This is an engineering position, not an operations or administrator position. Engineer is expected to have hands-on experience building, configuring, and managing Active Directory domain controllers in a highly complex environment.
- MUST HAVES:
- 5 + years Active Directory Engineering
- Power Shell Scripting
- Experience with Domain Controller Virtualization
- Experience building domain controllers
- Experience with Domain Controller Management/Administration
- Experience using Jira
- Experience working in Agile environment
Preferred skills
- Experience with Azure AD, hybrid identity solutions, and cloud integrations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Experience with Microsoft HyperV Management.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
