About the role

The Active Directory Senior Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) environments. This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant identity and access management across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Active Directory environments in large enterprise settings.
  • Design and implement secure AD architectures.
  • Manage and administer domain controllers, including virtualization and physical setups.
  • Use automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred) to streamline processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, and relevant regulations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
  • Work in an Agile environment, using tools like Jira.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Active Directory administration in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement secure AD architectures.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
  • Familiarity with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  • This is an engineering position, not an operations or administrator position. Engineer is expected to have hands-on experience building, configuring, and managing Active Directory domain controllers in a highly complex environment.
  • MUST HAVES:
    • 5 + years Active Directory Engineering
    • Power Shell Scripting
    • Experience with Domain Controller Virtualization
    • Experience building domain controllers
    • Experience with Domain Controller Management/Administration
    • Experience using Jira
    • Experience working in Agile environment

Preferred skills

  • Experience with Azure AD, hybrid identity solutions, and cloud integrations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
  • Experience with Microsoft HyperV Management.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
