Sales and Production Associate

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers seek a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and perform various duties including but not limited to:

• Maintain order and create a pleasant work environment.
• Handle all donations and merchandise with care and respect.
• Ensure store is sufficiently stocked and ragged out according to the calendar.
• Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Report incidents and maintain a clean work area.
• Comply with the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual.

Work Therapy Program Support

This position supports the work therapy program by providing beneficiaries with professional conduct, work habits, and supervision as directed by the Supervisor.

Cashier/Sales Floor

• Comply with cash handling and security standards.
• Price, stock, and rag out showcase merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise displays and racks.
• Answer telephone calls efficiently and professionally.

Sorter

• Minimum of 300 garments per hour by department.
• Assist with sorting and hanging merchandise.
• Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour.

Pricer

• Price a minimum of 250 garments per hour.
• Ticket all merchandise with individual fair market prices.

Hanger/Tagger

• Hang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks.
• Assign individual fair market prices for each item.

Runner

• Place a minimum of 225 garments an hour from the production room to the sales floor.
• Maintain clothing racks and straighten merchandise.
• Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.

Bric a Brac

• Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign individual fair market prices.
• Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.

Shoes/Accessories

• Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags, and accessories donations.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign individual fair market prices.
• Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour.

Domestics

• Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign individual fair market prices.
• Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour.

Books/Records/Toys

• Sort and clean all saleable merchandise daily.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign individual fair market prices.
• Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.

Furniture/Electrical

• Sort, clean, and test all electrical and furniture donations.
• Ticket all merchandise using “sold as is” tickets.
• Complete furniture tickets and record required information.
• Mark down furniture items on the sales floor.

Donations/Maintenance

• Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, bathrooms, entry, windows, sidewalks, and parking areas daily.
• Accept donations in accordance with standard policies.
• Ensure a constant flow of donations to the sorting table.
• Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.
• Perform lawn and garden work as needed.
