Responsibilities
- Visit client properties to assess tree and shrub care needs
- Provide scientific tree and shrub care recommendations
- Meet with existing and potential clients daily to evaluate their needs
- Develop and maintain positive business and client relationships
- Sell, market, and administer tree and shrub care services
- Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs
- Set personal sales expectations and meet sales goals
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience
- ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain (company will pay for exam and help prepare)
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify trees and shrubs common to the region, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective action or proactive management plans
Qualifications
- Education in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field (but not required)
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and diagnose tree and shrub issues
- Knowledge of ISA Arborist Certification requirements
