Arabic Calligrapher Trainer
About the Role
An English Medium institution and a dedicated social organization are pleased to announce a part-time vacancy for the position of Arabic Calligrapher Trainer. The selected trainer will conduct training sessions twice a week, totaling four hours. This opportunity is available across several regions, including Rajshahi, Naogaon, Thakurgaon, and Nilphamari. Additional openings are offered in Dhaka City areas such as Dhanmondi, Baridhara DOHS, Mohammadpur, Ashulia, and Bosila. Women candidates are warmly encouraged to apply, though qualified male applicants are also welcome. Residents of the respective local areas will receive special consideration, as community involvement is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Arabic calligraphy training sessions twice per week (total of four hours per week)
- Teach both traditional and modern styles of Arabic calligraphy with clarity and artistic sensitivity
- Instruct students in Islamic art history as it relates to calligraphy
- Teach modern calligraphy applications including graffiti and logo design
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong expertise in Arabic calligraphy
- Acceptable qualifications include:
- Arabic Calligraphy Diploma
- Islamic or Arabic Academic Degree/Certification
- Certification from an Art School/Fine Arts Academy/Art Institute/Calligraphic Institute
- Certification Course from an Islamic Calligraphy Program
- Self-Art Experience with demonstrable skill and a portfolio is also welcome
- Knowledge of Islamic art history
- Ability to teach modern calligraphy, graffiti, or logo design
- Basic digital design skills including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (preferred for modern calligraphy projects)
- Ability to communicate clearly in Bangla, Arabic, and English
- Previous teaching or training experience will be regarded as an added advantage
