Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a needs assessment to understand the project, participant roles, business objectives, and anticipated cross-cultural challenges.
  • Design a customized cultural training program for U.S.-based employees and leadership.
  • Facilitate engaging virtual and/or onsite training sessions in Michigan.
  • Explain key aspects of Moroccan culture that influence professional relationships and workplace interactions.
  • Provide guidance on working effectively with Moroccan colleagues, suppliers, customers, and business partners.
  • Address differences between U.S. and Moroccan approaches to: Communication and feedback, Leadership and hierarchy, Decision-making and problem-solving, Relationship and trust building, Meetings and professional etiquette, Time, deadlines, and project expectations, Conflict resolution and sensitive conversations, Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Introduce relevant Moroccan Arabic terms, greetings, expressions, and pronunciation that participants may encounter in professional settings.
  • Use automotive- or manufacturing-related scenarios, case studies, and role-playing exercises where appropriate.
  • Help participants recognize and avoid common cultural misunderstandings, stereotypes, and communication barriers.
  • Develop practical reference materials, such as participant guides, cultural tips, terminology sheets, or post-training resources.
  • Audit and adapt the content and facilitation style for different audiences, including employees, technical teams, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Participate in planning and debrief meetings with the project team.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback and make reasonable revisions to the training materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Moroccan Arabic/Darija.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Strong knowledge of Moroccan and American culture, workplace practices, and business etiquette.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating cultural competency, intercultural communication, global mobility, or international business training.
  • Experience presenting to professional audiences in the United States or other multinational environments.
  • Ability to communicate cultural differences accurately, respectfully, and without reinforcing stereotypes.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and audience-engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate cultural concepts into practical workplace recommendations.
  • Experience developing customized training materials and participant resources.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with project stakeholders.
  • Availability to deliver training virtually and/or onsite in Michigan, depending on project requirements.
