About the Role
We are seeking an AR Manager to lead a team of Collectors who professionally work with customers to identify and resolve any issues preventing payment, achieve/exceed established DSO, past dues, and bad debt goals.
Responsibilities
- People management (coaching, staff meetings, reviewing/approving time off requests and/or time sheets)
- Reviewing accounts & AR Rep Portfolios, Reporting, Analysis
- Mentoring/training team members, answering questions and issue resolution from team members
- Collaborating with sister organizations (Billing, Accounting, A/P, etc.)
- Administrative functions (portfolio assignments, KPI compilation, distribution of Aging files, etc.)
- Manage Collections staff; drive excellent financial performance
- Manage department through changes that may occur
- Work with staff on account prioritization and write-offs
- Review and manage performance goals with team members
- Conduct regular evaluations of performance and evaluate against KPIs
Requirements
- 7+ years Credit and collections management experience in a high volume, growing organization, with a national customer base (staff of 5 or more)
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team with customer centric focus
- Large package accounting system experience, Oracle preferred
- Extensive experience with collections management systems, receivables, reconciliations and cash application
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate with other internal teams to deliver seamless service to customers
- 5+ years of experience in Management
- 7+ years of work experience with A/R Collections
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
