About the role

The Aquatics Technician II oversees the day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge, including project management, general life safety, ordering, and working with vendors. Responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
  • Ensure daily activities and problems are communicated to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Conduct all work in a safe and timely manner, adhering to safety standards and effective equipment utilization.
  • Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures and attend required safety-training programs.
  • Maintain service records on mechanical and structural systems.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety, including completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
  • Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree, Technical Training, or Trade-Related Certifications.
  • Hospitality, Healthcare, or related industry experience.
  • Trade-related certifications preferred in HVAC and/or Electrical.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to complete work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Pay

Pay Rate: $27/hr. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
