About the role

Aquatic Trainer at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is responsible for providing exceptional guest and team member service. This role ensures the highest level of safety and comfort in aquatic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct aquatic training classes, in-service training drills and internal spot checks
  • Ensure all recreation areas comply with the Aquatic Safety Program
  • Perform regular spot checks and report any violations immediately
  • Lifeguard training classes for new hires and recertification of current team members
  • Conduct in-service training drills for all team members
  • Audits Pool Service Manager's records of logs/checklists
  • Maintains database of all records, logs, and lifeguard certifications
  • Compiles and produces statistical reports for Risk Management and LHUO Executive Committee
  • Makes suggestions for corrective action to Pool Service Manager and hotel Executive Committee when necessary
  • Prepares and submits all required certifications and general information to the Aquatic Safety Portal
  • Attends all appropriate meetings
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and operational needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands, retrieve a 10-lb brick from the bottom of the pool and return to the starting point
  • Hold valid Drivers License and meet eligibility criteria for travel throughout resort complex
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Skills

  • Ability to master the Aquatics Safety Instructor Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
  • Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
