Aquatics Recreation Activity Leader II

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction to the public in an organized class structure
• Oversight of safety of aquatic patrons while performing lifeguarding duties
• Support administrative staff in planning and implementing aquatic based programming

Requirements

• Six (6) months of experience organizing and/or implementing recreation activities or an instructional certification
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or other specialized certification in diving, scuba diving or kayaking and/or training in aquatic fitness/activity as appropriate
• CPR within 30 days of employment
• Lifeguard Training Certification within 30 days of employment
• At least 15 years of age at time of appointment

Schedule

Fluctuates based on program needs, primarily Monday through Friday with weekend work required.
