About the role
This position is based at 621 E. Highland, Suite 1, Nevada, MO 64772. It involves protecting seniors and adults with disabilities through home visits, conducting interviews, coordinating interventions, and being part of an on-call team.
Responsibilities
- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (age 60+) and disabled (ages 18+).
- Conduct home visits to observe surroundings and interview victims and caregivers.
- Cookinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
- Be available for an on-call rotation with other team members.
- Travel within the local multi-county area to conduct home visits, attend hearings, and training sessions, using your personal vehicle when necessary. Minimal overnight travel required.
Requirements
- High level communication and interviewing skills.
- Able to work independently and show initiative within a team environment.
- Able to be resilient, with critical and innovative thinking skills.
- Bachelor's degree (or relevant experience such as LPN, RN, or social service supports, etc.) is required, with one or more years of experience in Adult Protective Services or other related human services field preferred.
- Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.

- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
