APRN - Rheumatology

Position Summary

Aids physicians in patient care and education. Manages patient care, triage, and documentation.

Key Performance Areas

• Assesses physical and psychosocial status of patients
• Writes prescriptions based on laboratory results and clinical findings
• Determines eligibility for clinical trials
• Interprets and evaluates test results
• Communicates patient care updates to physicians
• Conducts or participates in multi-disciplinary rounds
• Triage patients based on urgency
• Documents patient care accurately and promptly
• Provides on-call coverage and performs hospital rounds
• Trains new employees

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program
• Master’s degree required
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state
• Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply
• Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P)
• Current BLS
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology

Standard Core Workdays/Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Travel less than 25%. Remote work may be required.
