About the role

This position supports physicians in clinic by seeing pre-op and post-op patients, conducting initial physical examinations, and assisting with patient templates.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient records and films, conducts in-depth interviews, constructs comprehensive medical histories, and performs initial physical examinations.
  • Explores patient's interpretation of health needs.
  • Places orders, answers MyChart messages and phone calls from patients, and completes extensive paperwork such as FMLA and disability forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience.
  • Certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, or certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, depending on the field of practice.
  • Adequate education and certification to perform assigned duties.
