Job Summary
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) at St. Elizabeth Healthcare provides care and treatment to patients under the auspices of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibilities include patient assessment, initiation and evaluation of diagnostic testing, documentation of physical findings, and formulation of treatment plan and prognosis based on patient's medical condition. The APRN also functions as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration between various disciplines and agencies as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments and initiates and evaluates diagnostic testing
- Documents physical findings and formulates comprehensive treatment plans and prognoses
- Coordinates clinical care and educates patients and families
- Serves as a facilitator for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Supports the implementation of evidence-based guidelines
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care
Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing with National Nurse Practitioner Certification in appropriate specialty area
- Licensed as an RN in the state where work is being performed
- Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician to practice as a nurse practitioner
- Medical staff privileges as an allied health professional
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
- EP APRN experience preferred
