Summary of Job Duties
We are seeking a Primary Care APRN who will provide comprehensive, adult patient-centered care across the lifespan, including health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic disease management, and coordination of care. Key Responsibilities
- Augmentation: Extend patient care and administrative services of UAMS physicians.
- Consummate Professional: Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, prescribe medical treatments, and manage health issues in collaboration with designated physicians.
- Collaborator: Work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team; serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
- Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary care, facilitate necessary consultations, and ensure timely, appropriate care.
- Customer Service and Professionalism: Interact with patients and the public professionally and with courtesy. Communicate accurately and completely; maintain confidentiality. Foster positive relationships with colleagues, management, and ancillary departments. Demonstrate patient- and family-centered care concepts and follow the Code of Conduct guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- May perform other duties as assigned to advance the mission of UAMS.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing – Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Two (2) years of RN experience
- One (1) year of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; Arkansas APRN License, or eligible for licensure
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Four (4) years of RN experience
- Two (2) years of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) experience
- Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire
- Primary Care clinic experience
