About the role
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements for deploying new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
- Design and develop highly scalable distributed enterprise applications using Kafka, Java, and non-relational databases to optimally process large data sets.
- Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation using advanced knowledge of system flow.
- Use agile methodology to design, develop, test, and implement solutions on time, ensuring high quality.
- Use Python, multi-threading, exception handling, and GoF pattern designs to propose architecture and solution designs focusing on performance, scalability, and maintenance.
- Use Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Data to process large amounts of data in real-time by utilizing streaming techniques for calculating real-time business metrics and publishing dashboards.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of data used in analysis by performing in-line data quality analysis.
- Use microservices and distributed systems to develop highly scalable distributed enterprise applications that optimally process large data sets.
- Use Redis, RDBMS, NoSQL DB, Apigee, and Kubernetes to develop proof of concepts on emerging technologies to address critical business challenges.
- Use Splunk, AppDynamics, and Jenkins to ensure the accuracy and quality of data used in analysis.
- Use Jira, Confluence, Git, and Agile Methodology to supervise, plan, and execute sprints.
- Apply knowledge and experience in Generative AI, including foundational models, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering, to drive innovation and enhance AI-driven solutions.
- Engage with developers and vendor resources to ensure delivery and deployment of solutions.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience in system analysis and software application programming.
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of applications development.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Consistently clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Pay
Full-time salary range: $125,760.00 - $188,640.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
