About the role

The Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC), formerly called RCBI, is accepting resumes for an Apprenticeship Specialist. The position is part of MAMC’s Workforce Development Team and reports directly to the Apprenticeship Unit Director. The position will work primarily out of our South Charleston facilities with some travel required. As part of the MAMC Workforce Development Team, the team member will work closely with the team to plan, customize, and implement skills programs, apprenticeships, and pre-apprenticeships for individuals, schools, and businesses for in-demand training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support program clients in obtaining training, industry-recognized certifications, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship opportunities, and academic degrees that best align with their career goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Success and experience working in a high-performance, collaborative peer group environment.
• Strong program management skills and ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to cultivate new and existing relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to use audiovisual equipment.
• Ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Past experience with apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship programs.
• Past experience in high school vocational programs or industrial training schools or colleges.
• Independent, results-focused, highly organized self-starter with supervisory skills.
• Experience with federal grants, Salesforce, or database systems (a plus).
• Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader; 3 years of experience in a team management role.
• Sophisticated personal networking and relationship building skills.

Pay

$60.000 - $70,000 - salary is commensurate with education and experience
