What you'll need to succeed
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must possess a high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) equivalency or other high school equivalency credential
- Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical and a drug screening
- Must be able to pass an aptitude test
Important information to know
- This is a 4-year program mixed with on-the-job training (OJT) and classroom instruction at Macomb Community College
- Each apprentice is partnered with a journeyperson who is a subject matter expert in their field
- Apprentices will be paid for their full time OJT and Kautex will pay for their tuition to Macomb
- Apprentices will be able to take advantage of available benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, etc.)
- All qualified candidates will be interviewed by the Joint Apprentice Training Committee
