Apprentice Trainee

About the role

MEI Industrial Solutions is a leading provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services. The Rigger Apprenticeship Trainee Program is designed for individuals without prior knowledge or skills in the machinery moving industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work in an outdoor environment year-round.
• Participate in hands-on training, activities, and assessments in lab or field environments.
• Complete a multi-phase program to gain proficiency in rigging skills and KSAs necessary for various machinery moving/rigging positions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Commitment to learning and willingness to complete all required assignments, tasks, and assessments.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness and ability to travel to training sessions, if applicable.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements and working conditions include performing general physical activities and working in an outdoor environment year-round.
• Must be able to work in a highly functioning team environment and display high levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
• Communicate openly and strive for peak performance in daily tasks.
• Undergo a 5-panel drug test and Criminal Background Check as part of the pre-employment process.

Schedule
