Apprentice to Craftsman
About the role
Ace Handyman Services Montclair is looking for an Apprentice Craftsman to work alongside experienced professionals. You'll learn directly from experienced craftsmen while working in customers' homes and developing the skills needed to build a successful career in the skilled trades.
This position offers a fast-advancement opportunity. If your skills start to shine, you learn quickly, produce quality work, and develop strong customer-service skills, there is an opportunity for rapid advancement and significantly higher earning potential. Our goal is to develop you into an independent Craftsman who can confidently complete customer projects on your own.
Responsibilities
- Carpentry
- Drywall installation and repair
- Painting
- Door installation and repair
- Trim and finish work
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical
- Fixture installation
- Furniture and cabinet assembly
- General home repairs and maintenance
Requirements
- Naturally good with their hands
- Loves learning new skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Comfortable communicating with customers
- Understands that great customer service is just as important as great workmanship
- Wants to build a long-term career in the skilled trades
- Experience working with tools or completing projects independently (professional experience is a plus, but not required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay
$18.00/hour starting pay with increased earning potential as you develop into an independent Craftsman.
