About the Role

The Apprentice Service Technician must be a current student or graduate of an automotive technician training school. The apprentice is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by their team leader and is guaranteed a minimum monthly income during their apprenticeship period. Tuition reimbursement assistance is included.

Responsibilities

  • Assigned a Mentor (usually a Master Technician) to assist in acclimating to dealership operations and share technical knowledge.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
  • Consult Mentor, Team Leader, or Shop Foreman for questions or assistance.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional service work is recommended.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain high-quality job performance.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a valid automotive technical training program.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • Must pass a background check, MVR, and drug test.
