About the Role
The Apprentice Service Technician must be a current student or graduate of an automotive technician training school. The apprentice is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by their team leader and is guaranteed a minimum monthly income during their apprenticeship period. Tuition reimbursement assistance is included.
Responsibilities
- Assigned a Mentor (usually a Master Technician) to assist in acclimating to dealership operations and share technical knowledge.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
- Consult Mentor, Team Leader, or Shop Foreman for questions or assistance.
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional service work is recommended.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
- Maintain high-quality job performance.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a valid automotive technical training program.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Must pass a background check, MVR, and drug test.
