Apprentice - Sheet Metal

About the role

As a sheet metal helper, you will become part of a team of stellar employees who are highly valued and skilled. You will get to put your technical and mathematical skills to use operating tools and machinery. Capstone is looking for highly motivated machine or brake press operators with some experience in sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce the highest quality of duct for customers
• Set up and safely operate machinery
• Read, interpret and use a tape measure
• Maximize efficiency while fabricating duct
• Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and fabricating metal
• Maintain a positive work attitude
• Demonstrate reliability

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good Math skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Ability to read, interpret and use a tape measure
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
