Apprentice Product Researcher

Responsibilities
- Work alongside other Pinterest Product Researchers and key partners on our Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams on a high-impact project.
- Use qualitative research methods, such as usability evaluations, individual interviews, and diary studies, to understand user needs and product opportunities.
- Collaborate with an assigned mentor who will help you navigate the expectations associated with being a Product Researcher at Pinterest.
- Leverage AI tools to optimize your workflow and to make cross-functional collaboration more productive and efficient.
- Continually grow through various learning and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Professionals from non-tech backgrounds, including but not limited to: research bootcamp grads, candidates who are self-taught, and those who do not hold a related degree or professional experience in Product Research roles.
- Self-motivated and proactive professionals pursuing a career in the tech industry who are curious to learn what it’s like to work and succeed as a Product Researcher at Pinterest.
- A learner and builder mindset: Able to quickly onboard to emerging AI tools and implement them appropriately in the full product development process with a focus on decision quality, craft and efficiency.
- 1+ years of experience working collaboratively and clearly communicating in a professional work environment preferred.

Benefits
The Pinterest Apprenticeship Program offers a unique opportunity for professionals from non-tech backgrounds and those facing barriers of entry into the industry to experience Research at Pinterest. The program is up to one year long with the possibility of conversion to a full-time Product Researcher role. Applications close as early as Friday, July 10, 2026, at 5:00pm PDT, with the program starting on October 19, 2026.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $8,910 - $10,450 monthly. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
Schedule
This position requires full-time commitment during business hours. Students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program are not eligible for this position.
Employment Type
Employment throughout the program is at will, and while programs can be up to one year in length, there is no guarantee on the specific length of the program.
Relocation
This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
