Apprentice Painters - Newcastle

About the role

We are looking for hardworking and driven Apprentice Painters (1st, 2nd or 3rd year) to join our Newcastle team due to continued growth and commencement of new projects. At Higgins, we work on various commercial painting projects such as high-rise buildings, schools, and retirement villages, giving you the opportunity to learn all facets of painting on different project sites.

We are passionate about career progression and invest heavily in developing our people. Starting a career in painting opens the door to many opportunities—many of our employees began as Painters and progressed to Estimating roles, Sales, Operations, and even Management.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction with excellent attention to detail
• Listen, take on feedback, and understand customer requirements
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety in the workplace
• Work collaboratively as part of a team on commercial painting projects

Requirements

• Completing a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, or have a keen interest to commence the course
• Driven to succeed and demonstrate a willingness to learn
• A motivated and enthusiastic approach to learning
• Value teamwork, be curious, and inquisitive to ask questions
