Apprentice Meat Cutter

About the Role

Our Meat Cutter Apprentices are responsible for cutting and preparing meat products to ensure freshness and quality, providing excellent customer service, and supporting team goals. They assist in maintaining store standards, including proper product rotation, code dating, and cleanliness, while ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role involves learning various meat-cutting techniques, handling products and equipment safely, and making suggestions to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform meat cutting, grinding, and packaging
• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and product rotation
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers
• Support team collaboration, share food knowledge, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment

Requirements

• 0 to 6 months of experience; prior related experience preferred
• No high school diploma required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old
