Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the transportation and care of decedents
• Preparing and setting up for visitations and funeral services
• Assisting with embalming and other preparation procedures as permitted by law
• Supporting funeral directors in making arrangements with families
• Assisting with funeral and memorial services
• Transportation
• Documentation
• Vendor coordination
• Facility preparation
• Other operational duties

Requirements & Qualifications

• Flexible schedule
• Professional appearance
• Good attitude
• Team player
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 75lbs+
