Description
General Parts is now hiring an Apprentice Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in various settings such as schools, healthcare facilities, and restaurants. The ideal candidate should have a background in electrical and mechanical engineering and possess strong troubleshooting skills. A keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to repairs are also essential.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
- Provide service solutions for gas, electric, and steam systems
- Order and install replacement parts
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
- 2+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred
- EPA certification (for refrigeration techs)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years of age
