Apprentice Engineer
Key Purpose
As an Apprentice Building Engineer, you will operate, maintain, and perform repairs on all building systems to include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting equipment and controls, Heating Ventilation and Air Condition (HVAC), Air Handlers, refrigeration equipment, and various other mechanical, electrical, and building systems in such a manner as to ensure optimal conditions.
Provide Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for building systems of other facilities as assigned or directed.

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence
Support the team, and report to the Facility Manager.
Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required.
Ideal Candidate Experience
- 3 to 5 years related technical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in O&M and/or building Engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of Work Order Control procedures
- Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management
- Experience with capacity planning and reporting
- Able to use hand tools, test equipment, and knowledge of maintenance shop practices with previous experience at the Journeyman level (Electrical and Mechanical Equipment systems)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/ or carry minimum 50lbs
- Ability to bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl daily
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay
The starting hourly salary is $19.90 per hour.
