Apprentice Electrician

Responsibilities

• Assist with electric panel installations, panel replacements, battery storage systems, and related electrical work under the supervision of licensed electricians.
• Support the installation and replacement of electrical panels, including proper wiring, labeling, and testing on member homes and commercial sites.
• Aid in the installation and commissioning of battery storage systems and associated components.
• Perform equipment mounting, conduit installation, wire/communications pulling, and system setup according to code and project specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, cooperative standards, and applicable local/state electrical codes.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred).
• 1 to 4 Years of experience required.
• Hands-on experience with battery storage systems and related components.
• Experience supporting electrical service work, troubleshooting, or performing installation tasks in residential or commercial settings.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems and integration with backup power systems.
• Exposure to electrical panel upgrades, replacements, or service changes.
• Experience installing lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, or transformers.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within one year of date of hire.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and Related Insurance.
• Must pass background and drug screening and physical.
