Apprentice Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services within acceptable standards.
• Learn basic maintenance and part replacement procedures under supervision.
• Assist senior technicians and ask questions to develop skills.
• Diagnose and repair all DFL tractor components.
• Perform PM inspections and services.
• Make service calls and perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
• Participate in maintaining a clean, safe environment compliant with OSHA and company standards.
• Record all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system.
• Work with the Parts Department to maintain proper stock levels.
• Comply with EPA and DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
• Continuously improve maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Driver's License.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Fluent in English.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.

Physical Demands

• Able to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair.
• May include standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools.
• Work may be performed independently or in team settings.
