Apprentice

Envirotrol is focused on HVAC service maintenance and optimizing building performance for customers by developing and installing building control systems, offering ongoing maintenance, and equipment replacement.

About the role

This position requires regular travel, including extended time and overnight stays out of state, to meet scheduled and non-scheduled service requirements such as modular product installation, module start-up, and warranty claims. The technician is responsible for ensuring work quality meets both Envirotrol and customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and install all types of Envirotrol-produced products
• Troubleshoot and repair AHU issues
• Travel and physically resolve warranty claims
• Perform unit start-up
• Complete and submit correct timesheets and expense reports
• Install modular products
• Assist with High Point production when no service work is scheduled
• Understand and follow QA-QC standards
• Weld shipping splits of modular products
• Understand and inspect electrical installations per the national electrical code
• Install and inspect all aspects of control systems
• Read and understand mechanical, electrical, and control drawings

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in this industry or a related field
• Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Vision for success and the ability to develop quality staff members
• Leadership skills, coaching, and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced understanding of product design and operation
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, and functions
• Skilled in plant safety and construction requirements
