About the role

Apprentice sales position in a bakery. Under the supervision of a mentor and alongside the sales team, you will learn and actively participate in daily shop operations, customer service, product presentation, snacking preparation, and hygiene compliance.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and advise customers: greet each customer, listen to their needs, and recommend breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and snacking formulas.
• Set up and showcase products: assist with opening or closing the shop, stock shelves attractively, and ensure display cases remain full and appetizing.
• Sales and checkout: take orders, upsell (e.g., suggest a drink or dessert), and operate the cash register independently.
• Snacking preparation: help prepare small catering items — assemble sandwiches, bake viennoiseries, prepare salads — following house recipes.
• Hygiene and quality: maintain the sales area (clean windows, counters, equipment) in strict compliance with food safety and HACCP standards.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a diploma program in commerce or sales (alternance/apprenticeship contract).
• Strong soft skills: smiling, dynamic, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Curious, food-enthusiastic, and eager to learn the trade.
• Punctual and adaptable to bakery hours — including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
• Prior customer-facing experience is a plus, but motivation is the key differentiator.
