Appointment Scheduler

Full-time, 4 days per week (Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm) in Bettendorf, Iowa.

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Appointment Scheduler to provide excellent patient care and support. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining physician schedules, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring high-level patient service while complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls related to appointment scheduling in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Communicate with patients to schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments.
• Coordinate frequently with physician teams regarding schedules and patient needs.
• Verify patient demographic and insurance information.
• Accurately enter data into electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Review and analyze physician schedules on a daily basis.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous appointment scheduling experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.

The pay range for this position reflects the range for all positions classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
