About the role

Responsibilities
- Alignment of the applicant’s career stage with PHCSA criteria
- Training and Development: Strength and relevance of professional development plans
- Quality and robustness of the proposed research, including public involvement
- Commitment and capability of the host organisation
- Review applications and provide detailed feedback for shortlisting
- Attend two days of interview meetings annually
- Dedicate approximately one additional day for preparation and follow-up work
Qualifications
- Relevant professional experience in public health
- Understanding of the importance of public health research
- Recent or current senior-level experience within the UK public health sector
- Proven leadership and research track record
- Appropriate professional qualifications and registrations
- Analyse and summarise complex documentation
- Engage confidently in professional discussions
- Communicate feedback clearly and constructively
- Use digital systems and demonstrate computer literacy
