Applied Science Manager, Prime Video Personalization & Discovery
About the role
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. This role involves developing AI solutions for various Prime Video recommendation and personalization systems using Deep learning, GenAI, Reinforcement Learning, recommendation system and optimization methods.
Responsibilities
- Lead to develop AI solutions for various Prime Video recommendation and personalization systems using Deep learning, GenAI, Reinforcement Learning, recommendation system and optimization methods;
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end;
- Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders;
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field;
- Hire and grow a science team working in this exciting video personalization domain.
Requirements
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- 4+ years of applied research experience
- 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
Qualifications
- Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
