As an Applied Science Manager, you will lead a strong science team and work closely with other science and engineering leaders, product, and business partners to build the best personalized customer experience for Prime Video. Responsibilities
- Lead the development of AI solutions for Prime Video recommendation and personalization systems using Deep Learning, GenAI, Reinforcement Learning, recommendation systems, and optimization methods.
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to design, implement, and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
- Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field.
- Hire and grow a science team working in video personalization.
About the team
The Prime Video Recommendation Science team owns the science solutions powering recommendation and personalization experiences across various devices. We work closely with engineering teams to launch our solutions in production.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
- 4+ years of applied research experience.
- 3+ years of managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
- Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval, and Analytics.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Pay
USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $211,400.00 - $286,000.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle: $183,800.00 - $248,700.00 USD annually
