• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to align business goals with technological advancements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Be proficient in open-source languages and have hands-on experience with AI foundation models and solutions.
• Have a deep understanding of AI methodologies and experience building large deep learning models.
• Be able to engage in high-impact applied research and have a proven track record of delivering models at scale.
• Have experience working with multi-agent systems, knowledge graphs, and large-scale data integration.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should:

• Love the process of analyzing and creating while also being passionate about doing the right thing for customers.
• Be innovative, creative, and a leader with a track record of delivering high-quality ideas and improving processes.
• Have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field, or a combination of a PhD and 2 years of experience in Applied Research.
• Have experience with emerging technologies, including training optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, explainability, and RLHF.
• Have a solid understanding of foundational AI methodologies and experience with large language models, deep learning, and transfer learning.
• Have a proven track record of delivering models at scale and experience in delivering libraries, platform-level code, or solution-level code to existing products.
• Have a strong publication record in relevant areas such as multi-agent systems, knowledge graph research, and finetuning.

Skills

The successful candidate should possess:

• Technical skills in open-source languages and cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, knowledge graphs, and large-scale data integration.
• Knowledge of foundational AI methodologies and experience with large language models, deep learning, and transfer learning.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
