Applied Research Intern, NLP - Fall 2026

About the role

NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. As an Applied Research Intern on the Nemotron post-training team, you’ll work on the next generation of Nemotron post-training and open-source software such as NeMo-RL. If you love training deep learning models and optimizing AI algorithms, join us to design large deep learning systems for natural language processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prototype new algorithms and models for AI model post-training.
• Contribute to open-source projects such as NeMo-RL and the next version of Nemotron models.
• Publish your internship project results.

Requirements

• Pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Masters students with a strong publication record will also be considered).
• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Strong knowledge in Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing.
• Experience with PyTorch or JAX.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage large sets of experiments.

Skills

• Contribution to open-source projects (include links to your OSS contributions).

Pay

Internship hourly rates range from 20 USD to 71 USD, based on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience.
