Applied Research Intern, NLP - Fall 2026

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking top Applied Research Interns to join the Nemotron post-training team. The team focuses on developing and prototyping new algorithms and models for AI model post-training, contributing to open-source projects like NeMo-RL, and designing large deep learning systems for natural language processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prototype new algorithms and models for AI model post-training.
• Contribute to open-source projects such as NeMo-RL and contribute to the next version of Nemotron models.
• Publish your internship project results.

Requirements

• Pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Masters students with good publication record will be considered too.
• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Strong knowledge in Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing.
• Experience with PyTorch or JAX.
• Able to work independently.
• Attention to details and ability to manage large sets of experiments.
