APPLIED POST DOC FELLOW
Position Highlights
The Applied Postdoctoral Fellow will:
- Contribute to multi-modality translational studies that generate abstracts, publications, and new diagnostic/therapeutic approaches.
- Lead or co-lead multiple projects with clear scholarly deliverables, including meeting abstracts and manuscript submissions across the first two years.
- Work in a highly collaborative, well-resourced environment that integrates patient care with cutting-edge clinical and basic research.
- Receive outstanding mentorship from expert, well-funded faculty (including T32 programs) and support to pursue individual training/fellowship grants.
Responsibilities
Conduct histopathologic review of tumor and clinical-trial tissue specimens, including tissue microarray support and tissue-based assay workflows.
Generate and interpret biomarker data (IHC, multiplex IF, spatial omics) and provide pathology input for computational pathology/AI initiatives.
Collaborate with clinical pathologists and internal/external partners (e.g., Tissue Core, translational and working-group meetings) to support translational studies.
Lead quality control/assurance activities for retrospective and prospective specimens; maintain the QA program.
Design and execute supervised research projects; record, analyze, and present data; and assist with shared lab equipment/work-area upkeep.
Credentials and Qualifications
- MD degree, with formal training in anatomic pathology of at least 3 years.
- Experience in initiating, conducting, evaluating and reporting of research studies is preferred.
- Demonstrated pre-doctoral working knowledge of research methodologies in an area of research.
