About the role
AET Engineering seeks experienced, highly motivated individuals to support the development, instrumentation, and testing of electrical and electronic systems. Engineers will apply their prior experience and subject matter expertise to the development and testing of shipboard systems and prototype systems.

Requirements
- Self-management skills to coordinate and interface with shipyard testing, shipyard trades, material suppliers, other engineering organizations, Navy shipyards, Navy forces afloat, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Strategic Systems Programs, and NAVSEA
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience working with power electronics, 3 phase AC high power systems, hydraulics, fluid systems, and pneumatic systems and their associated instrumentation and control methods
- Experience with sensors (strain gage, pressure sensor, flowmeters, thermistors, RTD’s) Shock and vibration testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Masters of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Physics, Aeronautical, Systems, Biomedical or Robotics Engineering
- 5+ years of post graduate professional engineering experience
Skills
- Highly motivated and able to handle multiple tasks autonomously
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to create detailed documents and test procedures for both internal and external work force
- Experience and proficiency with three or more of the following: Instrumentation equipment (O-scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc), LabVIEW, Dspace, MATLAB, Data Physics, Simulink, ANSYS, JMAG, FLUX2D/3D, COMSOL, PLC Programming, and other data acquisition, simulation, or control systems
