Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist

About the role

Brennan Behavior Group is seeking experienced ABA Line Technicians to join their behavioral intervention team. This is an entry-level position with potential for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA services to children and adolescents
• Implement individualized behavioral programming in various settings
• Teach new skills such as social, communication, and daily living skills
• Respond effectively to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors
• Create a fun, motivating environment to enhance performance
• Collect and track data on programming targets using an online system
• Support parents, teachers, and caregivers

Qualifications

• Registered Line Technician with the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board (or equivalent)
• Previous experience with autism/ABA is helpful
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• No past criminal history
• A genuine passion for working with children with special needs
• Ability to sit on the floor for long periods and be on feet for extended times
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to stay within 5 feet of the client at all times, including during elopement incidents
• Ability to actively engage in interactive games/activities and implement interventions to prevent, reduce, and deescalate challenging behaviors
