Applied AI Architect

About the role

The Applied AI Architect at forgd works closely with enterprise customers to embed Claude, Anthropic's AI platform, deeply within their organization. This role involves moving customers from interesting prototypes to production capabilities, starting with engineering teams and expanding to business operations and legacy system modernization.

Responsibilities

• Enable customers to lead Claude Code labs and workshops, taking them from beginners to power users across Claude Code, Claude for Work, Cowork, and the developer platform.
• Codify deployment patterns and share them with forgd’s methodology and Anthropic’s product teams.
• Transform discovery into customer environments, including engineering toolchains, workflows, business operations, and organizational dynamics, turning these into clear technical plans.
• Advise on how AI-native development changes existing engineering practices such as issue management, branching, testing, code review, and security.
• Guide adoption programs that scale Claude across engineering organizations and into business teams.
• Build scope for engagements, including assumptions, risks, milestones, and dependencies, and embed with customer teams to co-build agentic applications on the Claudedeveloper platform.
• Create technical artifacts tailored to the customer's stack, such as evaluation frameworks, MCP servers, sub-agents, and deployment configurations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role or in a hands-on engineering role as a Software Engineer or Product Engineer.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agent design, and evaluation frameworks.
• Power user of Claude Code or equivalent AI coding assistants.
• Familiarity with enterprise development toolchains, CI/CD, and modern SDLC practices, and cloud-native deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong communication skills that work across various stakeholder groups.
• A background in professional services or consulting, or vertical experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Experience driving organizational change.
