About the role
Twin State, Inc. / Liqui-Grow is a family-owned and operated company founded in 1958. With 13 retail and 3 manufacturing plants, each location offers quality products and services reviewed by an in-house Ph.D. agronomist. We provide services to a customer base through location sales personnel and applicators. We offer opportunities for career development in agronomy, sales, operations, or mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and make repairs and maintenance on pumps, piping, and tanks, as well as application and nurse equipment, forklifts, pickups, and all rolling stock.
- Ensure all equipment and rolling stock are repaired and maintained before the Fall/Spring seasons.
- Decide whether specific repairs should be performed by plant personnel or an outside vendor.
- Organize and maintain a record-keeping system to record and schedule maintenance activities on all plant equipment, rolling stock, and fixed assets.
- Maintain, organize, and stock parts and tools in the shop.
- Work cooperatively with all full-time and part-time employees to foster a spirit of teamwork, mutual respect, good customer service, and a professional image for Twin State/Liqui-Grow.
- Understand Twin State’s safety manual thoroughly and comply with company and OSHA standards for maintaining a safe workplace, including ensuring that safety equipment is available and in working order.
- Keep the facility, grounds, and buildings clean, picked up, and orderly.
- Participate in all training activities to learn about the products and their benefits to the farmer.
- Apply purchased fertilizer and pesticides in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that the application equipment has the necessary safety equipment and is constantly utilized.
- Keep the location manager and team fully informed of all operations.
- Help maintain the retail facility as time allows.
Requirements
- Must pass a pre-drug test.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Must have or be willing to get an Applicator's License/CDL - Twin State will facilitate.
- Application/ag equipment experience is ideal but not required.
- Willingness to be trained on equipment and maintenance procedures.
