Responsibilities

• Develop and validate customer parts, including the creation and optimization of part programs.
• Install, set-up, and program machine tooling required to perform the customer applications.
• Provide support to customers both during and after the sales process.
• Solve minor technical issues found during the commissioning, tooling validation, acceptance, and/or installation processes.
• Analyze customer drawings to determine the feasibility of an application utilizing BLM’s product offerings.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales Applications and Sales team to suggest features, accessories, and/or software products to aid the customer in their application.
• Conduct customer run-off acceptance tests, while managing the customer relationship and thoroughly documenting the results.
• Conducts customer training on the proper use and function of the Tube & Wire Forming Products as needed.
• Supports the Solution Center team in providing customer demonstrations, as needed.
• Supports the Solution Center team in providing customer demonstrations, as needed.
• Assists in taking a customer’s concept to reality, helping in developing their process into final products, while providing unparalleled customer service.
• Executes the internal procedures of BLM GROUP USA to perform the required job functions to successfully complete Tube & Wire Forming Products projects.
• Maintains a positive rapport and business relationship with internal and external customers by providing outstanding customer service.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant coursework in manufacturing/design/engineering or a related field is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in Tube Bending, Wire Bending, and/or End Forming processes (BLM products preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Strong electrical aptitude and hands-on experience with electrical systems.
• Experience with 2D/3D design software is a plus (ex. SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD).
• Experience with or the understanding of GD&T.
• Intermediate understanding of bending tool designs and how they apply to specific machine and part applications is a plus.
• A clear driving record containing no more than two (2) minor moving violations in three (3) years and no major violations in the last seven (7) years.

• Able to effectively work with all levels of team members and all types of customer personalities.
• Fluent in Italian and/or Spanish preferred, but not necessary.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Vehicles Used

• General office equipment, including computers, printers, fax machines and telephones.
• Basic hand, maintenance, and electrical diagnostic tools.
• Manual Machining equipment.

Physical Demands

• The position requires up to 50% travel, both domestically and internationally as required by management.
