Job Description Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an Applications Solution Architect - Hybrid/Remote for a contract position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. Compensation: $96.00 - $98.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview The Applications Solution Architect translates business needs, product priorities, and enterprise architecture direction into practical, end-to-end solution designs. This role enables consistent, scalable, and connected customer onboarding across business lines, including retail and wholesale channels. The role requires experience designing and integrating cloud-based solutions using AWS, Confluent Cloud, PostgreSQL, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), Snowflake, and API-led integration patterns. Key Responsibilities Translate customer onboarding business capabilities, process needs, product requirements, and strategic priorities into end-to-end application and technology solution architecturesDesign scalable onboarding solutions that support retail and wholesale business models, channels, and customer segmentsDefine customer and user journeys, solution context, architecture diagrams, component interactions, data flows, integration patterns, event flows, and technology recommendationsEnsure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, target-state architecture, approved technology standards, and governance guardrailsDesign secure, scalable, and supportable cloud-based solution architectures using AWS services and enterprise application platformsArchitect capabilities that support the customer onboarding lifecycle, including initial engagement, customer and account setup, validation, activation, service enablement, and operational handoffDesign and govern integrations, APIs, event flows, middleware usage, and data-exchange patterns required for customer onboarding capabilitiesDefine API-led and event-driven integration patterns using Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka capabilitiesDefine and validate non-functional requirements, including security, availability, reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainabilityPartner with Product Owners, Portfolio teams, and business stakeholders to understand priorities, desired customer outcomes, and delivery constraintsServe as a trusted architecture advisor to product, business, and technology stakeholders supporting customer onboarding Primary Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be consideredSignificant experience in application development, systems analysis, technical leadership, or solution architectureDemonstrated experience designing end-to-end application solutions across multiple systems, teams, and technology domainsExperience designing solutions that support customer, account, order, service, commercial, or onboarding-related business processesExperience designing secure, scalable cloud-based application architectures using AWS servicesExperience with Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka-based event-streaming patternsExperience with PostgreSQL, including application data modeling and data-access patternsStrong experience designing, governing, and integrating APIs, including API-led integration patternsExperience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), particularly customer, business-partner, or account master-data processesExperience with Snowflake, including data integration and governed data exchangeExperience partnering with product management and engineering teams in an Agile or iterative delivery environment Desired Skills Experience supporting complex customer-facing or commercial business applications across multiple business linesExperience supporting retail and wholesale technology capabilitiesExperience with customer relationship management, customer/account data, customer portals, or digital commerce platformsExperience integrating SAP MDG with other enterprise platformsExperience designing cloud-native or hybrid application architectures using AWS servicesExperience implementing data governance, customer-data quality, or master-data management practicesKnowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governanceRelevant architecture, AWS cloud, Confluent/Kafka, SAP, data-platform, security, or Agile certifications Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
