About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer II to serve as a key technical partner to our global customer base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, client interaction, and problem-solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting customers with the successful use of PBS bioreactor systems, contributing to product improvements, and partnering closely with internal teams to drive innovation and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert supporting customers on PBS bioreactor systems and bioprocess optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve cell culture and process-related challenges in a timely manner
- Provide remote and on-site training to customers and internal teams
- Partner with Sales to support customer engagements and drive successful adoption of PBS technologies
- Lead and participate in technical discussions with key clients
- Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product development teams
- Support development of technical marketing materials (application notes, white papers, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with the Field Service team to help complete services on PBS bioreactors in the field as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience with immune cell culture (T cells, NK cells)
- Experience working with bioreactor systems
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel (up to ~25%)
Qualifications
- Nice to have: Experience working in biotech, biopharma, or related industries
- Experience creating technical documentation or publications
- Customer-facing or applications support experience
