About the role

In this role you will provide technical engineering support to the sales channel related to the Tank Management product portfolio in our Pressure Management (PRM) business unit. You will be part of a collaborative and highly performing team of Applications Engineers focused on delivering a world-class experience to our customers. This role is customer-facing and involves a wide range of responsibilities, including technical support, improvement projects, and presentations to various audiences.

You will collaborate with Regional Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Engineering functions, managing your workload to ensure timely and accurate results.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotes for inquiries or projects requiring technical knowledge and provide technical assistance to the sales channel regarding product applicability and installation practices.
  • Provide accurate and timely pricing and product support to the sales channel, including lead times, pricing, confirmation of purchase orders, and engineering/manufacturing developments affecting customer orders.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer sales presentations and assist in the development and delivery of product training for the sales channel, employees, and customers.
  • Ensure quotes and submittals meet profit and margin guidelines within the allotted time frame.
  • Utilize sales skills to engage with outbound and inbound customers, probing and building orders.
  • Sustain and expand product knowledge of existing and new products and applications.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales channel and internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and ideas.
  • A high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • Relevant engineering work experience or internship/co-op experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, service-related, inside sales, or technical sales role.
  • Experience organizing and presenting training seminars internally and externally.
