Applications Engineer - Domestic Compression Applications
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate the design and performance of the proposed equipment; ensure deliverability and reliability of suppliers to meet Customer’s specifications and timetable.
- Review scope of supply definition and project specifications, develop equipment selection and sizing, and prepare cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals.
- Maintain knowledge of industry and company standards applicable to the equipment being offered.
- Interface with all operational departments within the company.
- Maintain customer relationships; participate in client clarification meetings as required.
- Participate in product development / packaging improvements to provide more cost-effective products.
- Develop over a period of time knowledge of process refrigeration systems.
- Provide initial vessel sizing and P&ID markups to Engineering Team.
- Create the Turn-In for the engineering team.
- Monitor and report on engineering hours and schedule adherence on projects.
- Up to 5% domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 24 months of experience in Engineering or related occupation.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Gas Compression industry.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in vessel selection, sizing, estimating, and pricing.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience evaluating equipment and ensuring reliability and delivery of suppliers to meet customer specifications and timeline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience participating in product development and packaging improvements to provide cost effective products.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with Ariel 7 Performance software, Engineering Data Management BOM software, and Flexware Sizing software.
