About the role
INDEX TRAUB is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with expertise in mill/turn and multi-spindle machines.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and training to customers on INDEX TRAUB's CNC turning machines, automatic lathes, and turn-mill centers.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in applications engineering or related field.
- Experience with mill/turn machines and multi-spindle systems.
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software and its integration with machine tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the designated states (MI, OH, IN).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Skills
- Technical proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of machine tool operation and maintenance.
