Applications Developer II

About the Role

ARSIEM Corporation is seeking an Applications Developer to design, troubleshoot, and implement software code for end-to-end software development. This position supports a Government client in Dulles, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design, troubleshoot, and implement software code for end-to-end software development
• Design, develop, enhance, debug, integrate, and implement software
• Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications
• Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new products based on user requirements
• Initiate action for evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools
• Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
• Design, develop, integrate, and interface with web application RESTful APIs
• Implement recommendations for improving documentation and development process standards
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified prototype software

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma & 4-6 years of directly relevant experience
• 2+ years of directly relevant experience in applications development
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and code versioning and maintenance
• Experience with assessing and integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products
• Knowledge and familiarity with installation, demonstration, test, validation, and evaluation of new and existing software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologies
• Operational experience with Python
• Experience working with AWS resources such as S3, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and Route 53
• Knowledge of software application development and RESTful architecture
• Knowledge of data transformation and manipulation via code
• Experience working and developing in/with containerization software including Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong communication skills and experience interacting with customers directly in a project environment or technical demonstration
• Ability to work collaboratively across remote and physical locations
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and DHS Suitability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with two or more of the following: JSON, Data Analytics, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Databricks, Postgres, Ansible, Vue.js, React, HTML, Podman, Process Automation, UI Development, CI/CD knowledge
• Familiarity with data transformation (ETL)
• CSS
• LPIC-1 or Security+ certification

Clearance Requirement: Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Candidate Referral

ARSIEM offers a referral bonus of $3,500 for presenting new candidates who are successfully placed within 12 months of referral. The bonus is paid after the referred employee reaches 6 months of employment.
